Actor Surya won best actor award for the year 2008 at Univercell Vijay Awards 2008 for his superb performance in the movie Vaaranam Aayiram. It was a special occasion for Surya since he received the award from Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan. Surya’s Vaaranam Aayiram seems had the mass appeal and happened to be the movie of the night, as it bagged three out of five favorite categories which are choosen by tamil movie fans across the state . Vaaranam Aayiram won best film, best director (Gautham Menon) and best song (Anjala) awards.
Surya came with his wife Jyothika, brother Karthi and his mom for the function. Lets all congrats Surya for winning the Best Actor award and wish him to win many more awards in the coming years.
